Team Sport Scarf

So here it is. . . my very first my own pattern. Nothing too complicated, but I'm happy with it.

Team Sport Scarf

My family lives in Steeler Country and bleeds black and gold. I just knew I would need to knit up some scarves to show off our team colors during those cold winter in the 'Burgh games. This is the one that I knit up for my sister-in-law.

Materials
· I used 4 skeins of Lion Brand Microspun, two each of the team’s colors. There was almost ½ of each skein left, so depending on the length of your scarf, you might be able to use just 1 skein of each.
· Size 10 needles
· Darning needle

Gauge doesn’t matter.

Pattern was knit up holding two strands of yarn together.

Starting with team color #1, cast on 20 sts.

Work in Garter for 10 rows.

Row 11: K1, *YO, K2T*, rep from * to * until 1 st rem, K1
Row 12: K across
Row 13: K1, *K2T, YO*, rep from * to * until 1 st rem, K1
Row 14: K across
Row 15-16: repeat rows 11-12

Work in Garter for 10 rows.

Change to team color #2 and repeat pattern.

Continue changing colors and work pattern until desired length of scarf.
Bind off.

Congratulations on your first pattern! It is beautiful, although I would have to knit it in either Columbia Blue/Gold, Maroon/Silver, or SeaHawk colors. I just got the reminder of how I needed to be finishing up your swap package, oh my how time does fly! It is tea weather in my area, and if you are wearing a scarf, it is tea weather in your area too!

CONGRATS CONGRATS on your 1st design! And in grand time for these, too!
LOL, thanks for your comments about my "cool" projects, but, as you know, I can't say anything about them!
