Weekend birthdays and presents for ME!

This was a popular weekend for birthdays. I had such a wonderful time in the hills and valleys of PA with The Little Man. He's gotten to the point where he's recognizing faces of those he knows and discriminates those he doesn't recognize. Apparently I'm going to have to travel home more frequently as it took him some time to warm up to my face again. Friday night I had the pleasure of giving him his bath while mommy went to the store to pick up the last details for the big party on Saturday. Couldn't you just eat this up!!!

I'm planning on making him a personalize ABC book by scrap booking photos of family members and toys he plays with for Christmas. Guess who's face will be filling up the 'W' page??? Maybe I should make it a double page layout??? hmmmmmm....

His big birthday went off without a hitch! Mommy had the place all decked out in Elmo paraphernalia, while daddy roared up a bon fire. Fun was had by all!
Sorry for the blurry pic, my camera was acting a little strange and I couldn't get the settings just right. His aunt also celebrate a birthday (more than 1 but less than 100) but she wasn't as fun to photo while eating her cake.

On other birthday fronts, Jazzy Jaz celebrated yet another year this weekend. I missed out on the big shin dig but I'm hoping she'll forgive me. Once you get a taste of The Little Man you can't blame me, can you? But you can help me make it up to her. Head on over to her blog and wish her something wonderful for the upcoming year... oh and tell her "Happy Birthday!" as well!

As an extension of everyone around me getting gifts, I received my Fall Swap package from Lacey today! She is the FALL BOMB!!! Check out what she sent me:

The tea and hot apple cider is perfect for the cooler weather we're having. I plan on snuggling up with Honey tonight with a cup in hand! The candles are already making my house smell deliciously fall and the lotion has found it's way into my school bag. The yarn is one that I've been dying to try out, a great Luxury Peruvian Chunky that's 70% Merino, 20% Alpaca, 10% Silk in a lovely rustic colorway. And check out the scarf!!! I had wanted to try out this patten and actually started a scarf with it and decided it didn't work with the yarn I choose. It's a perfect match for this one! Lacey, you've got such an eye for color!!! I don't know if the photo shows all the blues and greys accurately, but it'll be great with either my black or dark grey coat as the weather continues to cool. And to top it all off, she included a PUMPKIN!!! Gotta love that! Thank you again Lacey for such a wonderful fall package!!! I've been so blessed with great swap partners!!!

One last note for tonight... head on over to Ann's blog for yet another contest and don't forget to tell her I sent ya!

Happy birthday to all fall babies!!!

Yeah I hate when babies start recognizing who is who.

So glad you had a great time!

Nice package too!

Yay! I'm glad that it got there so quickly. I was afraid I would be a bad pal and it would take ages since I waited until the deadline to ship. :P

I had a great time making the scarf, but I tell you, that last foot and a half is the worst. You've already got the pattern down, you know how it knits up, and there is no thrill left. Just slog, slog, slog. But I think that's all the same thing with scarves. So I think that will be the last one for a bit. I love to make the ones I see, but while I knit them...I hate them. But I love the end product. :D I hope it keeps you snuggly. If you find it too scratchy, just dump it in with some conditioner. I didn't think about it or I would have done it for you. Yay. enjoy the cider, we have a box too.

You orange box is going to be a tad late, but it is on it's way.
