Living up to expectations

If Chan thinks I deserve a Kreative award, I should probably live up to that standard of expectation here. I promise you that there has been some knitting being done over here, just no photos tonight. I'm almost finished with a KAL friendship scarf that I'm working on and I'm hoping to be able to block it tomorrow. There should be a photo shoot in the near future. There's also a Snoozing Ned that just needs to be stitched up and then there should be some cute photos to be taken then too. So since I have nothing to show for my creative efforts at the moment, I give you a change in the look of the blog. Oh orange, how I do love thee, but you were beginning to depress me. Maybe with a new look I'll be more likely to stop by here and update more often.

On another much brighter note, this year V-Day was much less depressing than last year. My parents came down for a little visit and surprised me by bringing My Little Man with them! Oh do I love that little boy!!! We spent the day riding the metro, his new most favorite thing about visiting Aunt Wendy, and checking out the trains at the American History Museum. That and two days filled with giggles, hugs, and lots of snuggle time really made my weekend! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as I did.

What's not to love about the metro, really? I love looking at the world through little kids eyes, everyday things become so cool. Probably why teachers stay teachers.

Not even a mention of the upgraded Ruby Tuesday menu. No wonder they had to close some with all that remodeling.

Yummmmmm on the chocolate custard with meringue chunks from Dairy Godmother!
