Well overdue FO

With everything going on around here, I'm a little behind in just about everything. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that I've had an FO to report for what, like a week or so now and haven't mentioned high tide or water about it. Although I did send a little email Stacey's way to give her a heads up. It also shouldn't come as any surprise to know that these babies have been on my to do list since this past summer when Stacey so kindly sent the yarn and materials to me.

For those of you who are new around here, Stacey and I met through my very first swap (the color red swap). We weren't paired up but she stalked over to this blog anyway and joined on in. After getting to know each other a little bit we decided to create our own little color swap where we created a package of each other's favorite color. Poor Stacey only had to work with that I'm totally a fall baby and don't really have a favorite color but love everything about fall (including the colors!). Stacey all picked up on that I wanted to make a pair of felted slippers, so she so thoughtfully sent along goodies for a quick knit up of one of her favorite pairs.

These babies knit up fast - one the morning of the Superbowl and the other one over the course of two nights. Honey was sure that I was knitting for the Jolly Green Giant!
After several cycles through the washing machine (mostly due to the fact that I chose to knit for size 10 rather than 8 for my size 9 tootsies) I now have a lovely comfey pair of slippers to keep my tootsies nice and toasty. Good thing cuz we're due for snow again this weekend. I will, however, need to stop by after work this week to pick up some suede soles so I don't slip and slide on the hardwood floors around here.

They are nice and warm! (got mine on now!) And usually wear them with socks b/c of the scratchy wool.

I would also recommend puff paint/craft glue for the bottoms (cheaper) and you can make cute designs with them!

I actually don't have any on the bottom of my slippers but 95% of my place is carpet! ;op And I am very very careful in the kitchen as I have almost busted my butt a few times! Haha!

Love them on you!! So glad you liked them!

Have you had the chance to read your book yet?? I am sure the summer will yield more time for you!
