This week - not off to a good start

I hate commercials. D-Day (I mean V-Day) is just around the corner and all commercials seem to be revolving around the event assuming that everyone is happily in love. And not that I would want to take away that happiness from anyone - by all means if you've got it flaunt it. Love is a special sort of drug that's a cure for just about anything. But here, we're infected with the 'flu'. The gut wrenching, can't keep anything down, night sweats, praying for death so that there's an end to the pain kind of 'flu'. Where's the antidote to that???

good friends, some knitting, maybe a little chocolate (or maybe a lot). It will get easier.

I second Jasmine's suggestion. I've always hated this holiday, whether I had reason to celebrate or not.

V-Day is just that a holiday and it comes and goes. I have been alone for 15 years and it doesn't bother me like it use to. I always look at it as a day I can send anyone love, not just a lover. Chin up Wendy..things will get better. It always does...I am working on another suprise package for you! Also praying for you.

I agree with jasmine. But throw in a little wine or vodka or beer.. and that will also start to make it better ;)

See you Thursday!!!

Hey W--sorry to hear things are still so bad in your world...I was hoping that Sunday was a good day for you guys. I'd have to agree with Jasmine but add onto that a big pile of movies. Stupid funny movies that will make you laugh instead of cry...this way you'll not have to endure the horrible commercials of D-day. Still hoping you find peace soon.

Yeah I really haven't been into the V-day lately either.

But I must agree with your SP "I can send anyone love, not just a lover"

Continue to love yourself and stay strong!

I think it is just an excuse to push sales up. You know there is not much after Christmas.
So they have to have ways to sell more cards, flowers and chocolates. I am not against those things just don't make me feel like I have to run out and spend money.
I hope you are feeling better very soon.
